NEJE 5 Laser Engraver: Complete Unboxing and Assembly Guide

Step 1: Unbox and Check All Components

① The main machine frame ② Tools (including screwdriver，air tube)

③ Laser module ④ User manual & USB cable

⑤ Protective goggles (essential for safety!) ⑥ Power cable

Step 2: Grab the Screwdriver

Locate the screwdriver from the tools bag – it's the key tool you'll use throughout the assembly.

Step 3: Unscrew the Two Screws and Remove Sliders

Unscrew the two pre-installed screws on the axis and carefully remove the sliders.

Step 4: Insert the Sliders into the Axis

Place the two trapezoidal sliders into the axis rail.

Step 5: Align the X and Y Axes

Align the Y-axis with the groove on the X-axis and gently slide them together until they fit snugly.

Step 6: Temporarily Secure the Sliders

Insert screws into the sliders through the holes and tighten lightly to hold everything in place temporarily.

Step 7: Check and Adjust Motor Alignment
Move the motors manually. Ensure both are perfectly vertical (perpendicular to the base).

If not vertical, loosen the screws slightly, adjust, then tighten fully once aligned. Proper alignment prevents wobbling and ensures precise movement.

Tip: Vertical motors = smooth engraving. Non-vertical can cause uneven lines or binding.

Step 8: Connect the Y-Axis Motor Wires

Plug in the two Y-axis motor cables:

The bottom connector is white.
The top connector is black.

Step 9: Install the Laser Module

Connect the power cables (4-pin + 2-pin)
Rotate the fixing clamp: Down to loosen, up to tighten
Secure the module firmly in place

Step 10: Assembly Complete!

Your NEJE 5 laser engraver is now fully assembled and ready for use. Connect the power, install software like LightBurn or LaserGRBL, and start your first project!
