Update: Live and learn. If you don’t have a neje laser I recommend not purchasing this model. The supplied 5 pin to 4 pin cable I get had no connected on the 4 pin side. I searched but could not find a cable to adapt it for use with either of my engravers. If I had a Neje engraver I could use it but not buying another laser engraver.
In order to used the cables that come with the rotary etcher, you need to have a 5 pin connector available. The motherboard on my only has 4 pin connectors at the largest. I have not checked to see if I could solder the cable that only has one connector to the board, however I am not that adept at that particular skill. I will be ordering a larger laser engraver here in the near future and will put a full review of the item when I get it connected.
A few notes in the meantime. I have included an image of the ends of the cords provided. The white connector is the cable with only 4 wires and only has the connector on this end. The wire with the black connector is 5 prong and has connectors on both ends.
I am anxious to try the rotary adapter. I craft, paint, sculpt and many other things in my free time. This will be a wonderful tool to laser etch items from my wood lathe along with many other items.
Hello. The 4-pin connector connects directly to the stepper motor of the rotary axis, while the other end plugs into the stepper motor port on the mainboard of other devices. These two cables are designed to be compatible with all laser engravers, including NEJE machines. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We will keep improving our products and service.
